Photo bombing mini donkey

Happy Saturday friends! (actually I'm writing this on Tuesday and scheduling it for Saturday since I'm taking the rest of the week off for my First Annual Birthday Week Extravaganza!)

This past weekend B-Rad and ManChild made another trip to DC to see the stuff they didn't get a chance to see in the spring—like the Spy Museum and they ate at Hell's Kitchen (on ManChild's list lol) and they went on a Segway tour! I've always wanted to do one but can't find one in the area darn it.

Learning how—they have to pass a test before they take the group out:

And while they were doing that, I was home...blessedly alone. 😂😜

Where I did all the chores, ate what I want when I wanted, and painted my office bathroom the same pink as the office. OMG, I love this color so much! It's like ballet slipper pink, a beautiful soft yumminess.

There are two windows in this bathroom but I always leave the blinds down on the second window, no one wants to go potty on display:

But as I was painting along it occurred to me that those clings I was thinking about buying and sticking to that window, something like these:

Could actually be hand painted by moi! I don't know why I hadn't thought about it before but I could totally paint florals on that window and it will be beautiful! And I can leave the blinds up all the time and flood that room with even more light! So, guess what I'll be doing with the rest of my staycation birthday week? Oh boy!

I've been leaking tears for a week and a half now and finally realized why, we are coming up to my birthday, the last time we were all together, happy, with Mom. I wrote about coming down to the one year anniversary of her death in November here:  The Orange Cup.

Seven years ago this week I woke up to a special email:

I turned around to make the bed last weekend and found this. Tail is blurry because she's wagging it so hard lol:

The weird mushroom that looked like a pancake at first until I got closer and realized it looked like a dirty makeup sponge:

I wanted to get a pic of my pretty girl Rayn, instead I got my photo bombing donkey:

Here she is! Good news, I can bring my hand up to either side of her face in front of her eyes and she blinks—so she's not totally blind yet!

Mama dear brought her babies back for a visit. The one we rescued is on the left:

I'm still uncertain if baby boy goat Oliver will be big enough to breed in the fall or winter, hope so! I was checking out my favorite goat lady on YouTube (Weed 'em and Reap) and she posted this:

Baby Oliver and Poppy have been play fighting a lot more and it's starting to get pretty stinky over there in Boy Land so I'm thinking that Oliver doesn't prefer boys. But that bottom line made me laugh—we are having the same issue, our herd sires need stilts!

Not Snickers though. Snickers would beat the snot out of those boys lol. Plus she's 12 :-)
