Rayn and Sweetness

My grey mare Rayn, has Uveitis aka Moonblindness. She is slowly losing her eyesight, it's common for the disease. Since her diagnosis, our mini donkey has taken her under his wing. She was so unwilling to be babied in any way but has slowly become easier with the idea, allowing Sweetness to be near her without pinning her ears at him. This is how I found them the other day.

Old trauma is often what has us feeling so distrustful of others—assigning motives and casting blame where it may not belong. It can keep us isolated from the thing that heals us most: healthy relationships with others—animals and human.
