22 Years Ago Today...

We met at a whitewater kayaking roll session. His first memory of me was me laughing my head off in the pool. My first memory of him was at the Mexican restaurant we would go to after, he was like a sponge, soaking in all the kayaking stories and knowledge, asking questions and listening intently. I was 27, he was 37.

I took him down his first river on March 7, 1998, 22 years ago. This is the date that is inscribed inside our wedding rings even though it's not our wedding date. This was where it all began.

Our joy in kayaking and our joy in each other was palatable, still is :-)

June 28, 2016. At the ranch the day before we moved in, starting the next phase of our journey, still finding joy in each other. :-)
