Women's Circles—FAQs

Are the Women's Circles therapy or coaching? Neither, really. Both types (online or in-person) are a guided creative experience where we come together to reflect, create, and connect. I simply facilitate the process and hold the container so everyone feels safe to be themselves.

Women’s In-Person Circles are deeper, more immersive gatherings held at The Mother Ranch with the herd present. They include art, meditation, reflection, and gentle personal exploration.

Women’s Online Creative Circles are lighter, art-centered gatherings on Zoom. We paint together and enjoy easy conversation. These circles focus on creativity and connection rather than deep emotional work.

Women’s In-Person Circles are deeper, more immersive gatherings held at The Mother Ranch with the herd present. Guided meditation, creative play with art, sometimes reflective journaling, and compassionate connection with others in the circle—and of course time with the herd of ponies and mini donkeys if the weather is cooperating!

Women who feel drawn to create, reflect, and connect in a nurturing space with others who live and identify as women. All are welcome here.

Not at all! We focus on curiosity, play, and self-expression—not perfection. Most people come here with zero art experience and most tell me, "I can't draw a stick figure!" Well that's perfect because we won't be drawing stick figures ;-)

Women's In-Person Circles are small enough to feel personal and safe—usually 10 women. My art studio holds ten of us comfortably, so it will never be more than that.

The Women's Online Creative Circle is new, so its size will change over time. My dream? A beautiful gathering of women creating together from all over the world.

You get to choose how much you share. Many women start quietly, especially the introverts and deep feelers (which is most of us.) As the circle settles and safety builds, it’s common to open up naturally—when it feels right.

No. The Women's Online Creative Circle is a live, real-time experience. Because there is personal reflection and gentle group sharing, I don't record our sessions. This helps everyone feel safe, present, and able to show up just as they are. 

If you need to miss a week, that's completely okay, I'll share a simple instructions so you can catch up if you'd like.

Life happens! We’ll still welcome you right back in when you’re able to join.

For in-person circles, weather permitting, we do the guided meditation and circle out in the pasture with the herd. 

These circles are for adult women (the ages currently range from 25 to 75.) However, I work privately with teen girls through individual coaching sessions.

No. These playdates are meant to be a simple, low-pressure creative 90 minutes, and keeping them live-only helps us all stay present. If you can make it live, I’d love to have you there!
