Neurofeedback

NeurOptimal Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, drug-free approach that is FDA approved. It uses cutting-edge technology to detect and correct irregularities in your brainwave patterns. By providing immediate feedback to your brain, NeurOptimal allows your brain to self-correct and optimize its function, resulting in improved cognitive function, emotional regulation, and overall wellness.

NeurOptimal can be effective in treating a wide range of conditions, including (but not limited to!) sleep, developing a "not my circus, not my monkeys" attitude, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, even grief. It can also be beneficial for athletes who want to improve their performance on the field or in the gym and for students struggling in school. By promoting healthy brain function and regulating brainwave patterns, NeurOptimal can help you better focus your attention, reduce anxiety, and improve overall cognitive function.

During a neurofeedback session, you can sit back and relax in a comfy recliner in my office. You can read, sleep, write, or simply watch the pond outside while the software detects any irregularities in your brainwave patterns and provides immediate feedback to your brain to help it self-correct and optimize it's function. The process in painless and non-invasive, and you can resume your daily activities immediately after each session.

At my farm office, I provide a safe and peaceful environment for you to experience the benefits of neurofeedback. Whether you are looking to improve your focus, reduce anxiety, or recover from an injury, I can work with you to develop a customized treatment plan that addresses your specific needs and goals.

If you are interested in learning more about neurofeedback and how it can benefit you, please contact me today with any questions or to schedule an appointment. I look forward to working with you on your journey towards wellness.

"I must say that when I left my first session, I found that I was smiling and felt joyful, at peace and happy. I haven't felt that in forever. My smiles have been tense. But I really felt like I was really smiling for the first time in forever. I'll be back as soon as I know my schedule!" -N

Preparing for your first neuro session

For your first neurofeedback session, you don’t need to prepare anything special—just come in comfortable clothing and as you are. If you’re feeling anxious, unsettled, or unsure, that’s completely normal.

I’ll walk you through everything step by step. Once you’re settled, you’ll have access to the overhead fan, the heated blanket controller, and anything else you might want—water, a journal, or a book. When you’re comfortable and the session begins, I’ll step out and leave you in peace.

You are welcome to read, write, rest, or just close your eyes and daydream. If you need anything, there is a small bell at your side—or you can text me and I’ll come right in.

What you may notice after neurofeedback

After a neuro session, people typically feel calmer, softer, lighter, or "more themselves." Sometimes there is a feeling of mental clarity, other times a gentle tiredness as the nervous system rebalances.

There is no "right" response—your brain will do exactly what it needs to do. Drinking water and giving yourself a little space afterward can be supportive.

"I started NeurOptimal Neurofeedback sessions with Julia in January, 2023. The results are awesome. I was able to notice small things initially, such as not being as upset over an issue as I used to be.  The retraining of my brain has been a great tool for managing my stress and improving my sleep habits.  I feel calmer throughout my day and better able to handle things as they come up, both in my professional and personal life." -LH
